Fare Zones
YRT/Viva and Mobility Plus travel across three fare zones. A $1 Zone Upgrade is required when travelling across each zone boundary.
Customers using cash fare, 1 Zone Tickets, 1 Zone Monthly Passes, PRESTO or a GTA Weekly Pass must pay the Zone Upgrade if travelling into an additional zone.
Customers using 2 Zone cash fare, 2 Zone Tickets or 2 Zone Monthly Passes or PRESTO only pay the Zone Upgrade if travelling into a third zone.
Zone Upgrades can be purchased at oneRide and multiRide machines at vivastations and terminals.
The dividing lines for the three zones are located in the Town of Georgina at Ravenshoe Road and in the Town of Richmond Hill at Bloomington Road and just south of King Road.
Customers without valid fares may be subject to a warning or fine.
Ride to GO
YRT/Viva offers convenient and affordable connections to/from GO Train stations in York Region for just 75¢. This service is available on YRT/Viva, YRT GO Shuttle services and contracted TTC routes in York Region.
You must have valid prepaid GO fare media in addition to your 75¢ (YRT and contracted TTC buses will only accept your GO Transit single-ride or day pass if you are leaving a GO Train station). Ride to GO tickets are available at oneRide & multiRide machines. Exact change may be used on YRT buses only.
If using a PRESTO card, PRESTO will automatically calculate and deduct the co-fare discount for your YRT/Viva trip to/from any PRESTO-activated GO Transit service. Learn more about GO transit co-fares.

Express services
Express services let you travel in style with fast service in comfortable, coach-style buses that operate during peak periods. They don't stop as many times as conventional buses so you'll connect to your destination sooner - perfect for business travellers or other busy people on the go. Express fares apply.
The Express cash supplement is used to board an Express service with a non-Express ticket or pass.
